Dear colleague,

You are cordially invited to submit a chapter proposal to be considered
for inclusion in the forthcoming number (# 5) of the Formatex
Microscopy book series, titled Current microscopy contributions to
advances in science and technology, to be published in 2012. The call
for chapters for this book will be open until 23rd May.

The Formatex Microscopy series is generalist in nature and it is
composed of full papers written by active researchers in microscopy
and/or microscopy applications, using original research materials, but
presented in a way accessible to a broader, not specialized, scientific
public. It is the aim of this approach to take full pedagogical
advantage of many research materials that researchers manage around the
world, but which are outside the need of more specialized scholarly
publications. Mini-reviews are also welcome for this edition.
Mini-reviews can be thematic in nature, or focused on the activity of a
specific research group. In this latter case, the work should provide
an integrated view of the research carried out by that group along the
years.

This edition will be structured into three sections: Applications in
Biology and Medicine, Applications in Physical/Chemical Sciences,
Methods, Techniques and Instrumentation.

Those authors interested in submitting a chapter proposal are requested
to submit a short abstract of it in order to avoid content duplications.

journals, books and other academic publications are also available at
