ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Molecular Virology/Gene Therapy/Viral Pathogenesis
Department of Microbiology
Arizona State University

Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure-track position in molecular
virology/gene therapy/viral pathogenesis available in Department of
Microbiology, Arizona State University.  This position is part of a
commitment by ASU to establish a well-recognized program in basic biomedical
research.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate
and graduate level courses, to direct graduate dissertation research, to
publish research findings, and to serve on department, college, or
university committees as requested.  Competitive salary and start up
package.

Required
Ø Doctoral degree in microbiology, virology, or related area
Ø Two years of relevant post-doctoral experience
Ø Publication record and teaching experience appropriate to rank
Ø Evidence of having developed (Assoc Prof) or potential to develop (Asst
Prof) a vigorous, independent extramurally funded research program

Desired
Ø Research using molecular genetic approaches in viral pathogenesis, viral
vaccine development, or viral gene therapy
Ø Demonstrated ability to interact with other academic and/or research
programs
Ø NIH funding (Assoc Prof) or potential for NIH funding (Asst Prof).
