Plant Virology Faculty Position

Plant Virologist. Twelve month, tenured or tenure-track position of
Associate Professor or Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology, commensurate
with applicant's experience. This is a full-time position with research
(70%) and teaching (30%) responsibilities. The appointee is expected to
develop a highly competitive research program emphasizing fundamental
questions in the area of molecular genetic and biochemical analyses of plant
virus interactions with their host plants and/or their vectors. A
willingness to work collaboratively with other scientists within the
virology community and allied disciplines is highly desired. The teaching
responsibility will include an introductory graduate lecture/laboratory
course in plant virology, an upper level graduate course emphasizing
molecular virology and coordinating a current topics discussion course. The
appointee will also participate in seminars and graduate and undergraduate
student advising. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are required. The
successful applicant will have a background in plant virology, with the
demonstrated ability to investigate the molecular genetics and biochemistry
of virus interactions with plant hosts or  vectors. Applicants should submit
