Anti-Serum to Virus?

Antisera to a given virus can be administered to dampen the virus load so
that the host is able to launch a humoral response...an example would be
the administration of HBIG (hepatitis B virus immunoglobulin) in
conjunction with HBsAg vaccination in the treatment of babies born to
HBV-positive mothers.

Just my 2¢ (Canadian) ;-)
