I believe you have blurred the seriousness of the infection with the ease
of transmission. (a mistake often made with HIV as well)
Ebola outbreaks appear to be linked with poor hygenic infrastructure and
family preparation of deceased.
Thus an outbreak in the industrial world would be quickly limited because
of isolation of dying and dead victims, and better general hygene.
It may not be multi-culturally politically correct, but it is probably
true. (Though I hope never to see this theory tested...)
