The vaccine for varicella (chicken pox) has been approved and is
available. It is a live, attenuated vaccine called Varivax, and is
manufactured by Merck. Varivax is indicated for use in individuals
12 months of age and older. The duration of protection is unknown,
hence the need for revaccination is not defined.
