We are in the process of initiating a medaka toxicogenomics project. The
first goal will be to develop microarrays spotted with genes that are up or
downregulated by exposures to toxic chemicals, as determined by PCR select
subtractive hybridizations. The next step is to correlate changes in gene
expression with toxicological endpoints. I am looking for a postdoc/research
assistant professor with a strong background in microarray technology and
bioinformatics. Salary will be in the $50K range. Secondly, I am looking
for a research associate/postdoc with a background in aquatic toxicology to
conduct exposure studies and to clone toxic-responsive genes. Salary will be
in the $35K range. Positions are guaranteed for at least 2 years. The
research site is on the campus of the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory located
in Ocean Springs, a small, beautiful town, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Please contact me by phone or email for further information.
