A client of ours in New Jersey is seeking a Toxicologist. The primary
objective is to provide toxicology/regulatory support for new product
development and existing products worldwide.
Key Responsibilities, Skills and Relationships:
-Prepare/submit regulatory notifications PMNs, NSNs, etc. to support
worldwide commercialization of new products.
-Work alongside the research and development teams.
-Develop/administer toxicology testing programs as needed.
-Develop/demonstrate familiarity with USEPA/EU/OECD testing protocols and
GLP requirements and serve as technical contact with the testing labs.
-Support various EPA TSCA compliance programs (TSCA s. 4, 5 and 8).
-Periodically contact the EPA, maintain necessary documentation and conduct
periodic employee training/internal audits.
-Maintain toxicology/regulatory database to assist health hazard assessment
and product labeling efforts.
-Communicate at all levels within the respective business units.
-Working knowledge and experience with regional regulations (USEPA-TSCA,
CEPA, EU etc.)
-Strong written and verbal skills
-Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Access, etc.)
-Ph.D. in Toxicology with 1-3 years experience or MS in Toxicology (with
DABT certification) and 4 years + experience
-Demonstrated ability to work as both a leader and team player on
multidisciplinary teams and a willingness to take the initiative on projects
with a minimum degree of supervision.
-Project management experience
-Strong organic chemistry background or knowledge of petroleum additives
