The Risk Assessment Task Force of the Society of Toxicology has organized
an exciting meeting that will address an important issue for all who are
affected by the revolution in genomics and proteomics technology. In the
meeting, entitled "Use of Genomic Data in Risk Assessment, State of the Art
2001," the participants will hear and discuss issues related to the use of
the burgeoning genomics database in various aspects of toxicology. THIS IS
NOT YOUR TYPICAL "HOW TO" MEETING.
We will be addressing the question of "WHAT NEXT?!!. Among others,
speakers will include Francis Collins, NIH; Charles Cantor, Sequenom, Inc.;
Edwin Clark, Millennium Pharmaceuticals; William Farland, US EPA; Eric Lai,
