Job in The Netherlands:
manager product safety & regulatory compliance
The main responsibilities are to:
Manage the Product Safety Department (3 persons) and the product
safety information database (Safety Data Sheets, labels) for the
European operations
Ensure compliance with all appropriate laws,
regulations and company policies Co-ordinate the implementation of EU
Directives (like Dangerous Substances Directive, Dangerous
Preparations Directive, Biocidal Product Directive) and national laws
at an international company, European dept.
Carry out hazard / risk assessments in relation to the safe and responsible
production, transport, use and discharge of water- and process treatment
chemicals
Participate in (inter-)national industry associations
Requirements:
Masters degree in environmental chemistry / biology (specialisation in
eco-toxicology)
At least 3 ? 5 years experience in product safety and (European) regulatory
compliance, as well as in ADR, IMDG and IATA regulations.
Proactive, independent and able to work in a business environment with a minimum
of supervision Ability to work under pressure
Able to work effectively as part of a European team with good communication
skills. Knowledge of and experience with Windows, MS Office and database
management.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch (German and/or French are an
advantage).
