Dear researcher in environmental health,
at August 31st - September 1st the Centre for Environmental Research and
Technology (UFT) in Bremen (Germany) is organising a small but very
interesting meeting on biomarkers of genetic and acquired susceptibility. It
will be organised together with the Environmental Mutagen Society (GUM) and
the Bremen Institute of Prevention Research and Social Medicine (BIPS). The
program and all other details are available in the internet at:
Goal of the small scale meeting is to discuss aspects of genetic and
acquired susceptibility and adequate biomarkers. The small scale (<50
participants) should assure for a real discussion which is often difficult
at big conferences.
Besides the genetic and exposure induced susceptibility aspects of
neuro-psycho-mental influences should be discussed which epidemiological
studies pay much attention to in the last years. The meeting should
contribute to bridge the gap between genetic toxicology and
neuro-psychological research. To enhance applicability in population-based
research, topics as how to measure neuro-psycho-mental factors with respect
to susceptibility will be one aim of the meeting.
We would be very glad to welcome you in Bremen. Registration can be made at
the website mentioned above.
