You asked about inhibition of cortisol effects without affecting Ah
(dioxin) receptor signaling.
In an in vivo system (e.g. rat) it is possible to remove the adrenal
glands of the animal and control its homonal status pharmacologically.
If you are working with cultured cells it is possible to remove cortisol
(along with additional steroids and some other compounds) by "stripping"
the culture medium with an activated charcoal treatment.
I am curious why you feel the need to eliminate cortisol to see the
effects on the Ah receptor pathway?
