I hope you will not mind my asking you a question regarding vulvodynia. (Your website
at http://www.wellnessweb.com/INDEX/QVULVODYNIA.HTM#frequentlyasked )
I have had VV for a little over three years and I recently tried putting a little Vicks (spread
very thinly in the outer vulvar area. It caused an intense hot/cold sensation which completely
got rid of the pain. After a few minutes the sensation went away and the pain did not come
back.
I am wondering if there is any reason I should not use Vicks. It has really helped me and
has gotten rid of the pain for up to four weeks without re-applying it.
I wonder if it opened up some pores.
I have only pain - no redness, no yeast, nothing to explain why the pain is there.
Many thanks for your reply and your article is one of the mainstays of our forum.
Several people have tried the Vicks, all with good results but several other people are
worried about its possibilities for harm.
Sincerely,
Ora
