Does anyone know what substances may interfere with CO oximetry? It
tests for methemoglobin to check for carbon monoxide poisoning, but I
am wondering if other substances cause a false positive if they also
bind with the hemoglobin molecule. How would cyanide poisoning affect
results of CO oximetry? thanks in advance, a student.
