Please try downloading a new libtcl8.0.so and libtk8.0.so files and
replacing the copies in $STADLIB/sgi-binaries/. They can be obtained
from

	ftp://ftp.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/pub/staden/1997.1/sgi/

The early versions of 1997.1 had an error in these libraries which made
them incompatible with some SGI systems.
