Jeez! You guys must be getting sick of me by now? Can I apologise in
advance and thank you for the time and effort you've spent answering my
previous queries...
Now, just one more... (:o})
Our templates arise from partial digests of a cosmid. Some of these clearly
have muliple inserts. Is there a simple way to split these readings? As I
currently see it I have to...
a) remove the offending template
b) Generate 2 (or more) experiment files both referring to the same SCF file
but with different regions masked out (either using the CS or QL/QR, SL/SR
fields. I also have to be a bit smart about naming the template since
multiple inserts will screw up the Find Paired Reads function
c) Reincorporate the multiple experiment files
Firstly, is this the only way it can be done, or am I missing a better way.
Secondly (all right, it was just two more...!), if this is the 'correct'
way to do it, is there a utility program to generate the two experiment
files or do I need to write one?
Many, many TIA
