Dear Colleague:
You are invited to attend the International Plant & Animal Genome
XI Conference (PAG-XI), January 11-15, 2003 at the Town & Country
Conference Center in San Diego, California.
This e-mail is a CALL FOR ABSTRACTS.
The meeting will again offer the satellite sessions and workshops
that took place at the Plant, Animal & Microbe Genomes X
Conference. Over 50 workshops are now scheduled for PAG-XI. The
meeting draft for PAG-XI and abstracts from previous meetings are
now available on the Internet via the World Wide Web (WWW) at:

Important Dates & Deadlines to Remember:
ABSTRACT DEADLINE: Friday, October 4, 2002
All researchers presenting posters must pre-register for the
meeting to have their abstract printed in the final meeting
program. You may submit your abstract electronically at:

PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE: November 1, 2002
The early registration fee is $450 (non-profit/univ/gov't) or
$600 (industry). The student fee (Pre-Ph.D.) is $225 (requires
proof with letter-of-certification). Postmarked date will be
used for all deadlines.
After November 1:
The on-site registration fee is $550 (non-profit/univ/gov't) or
$700 (industry). Student fee (Pre-Ph.D.) of $225 applies to
pre and on-site registration.

For those attendees who come only for the weekend workshops there
will be a weekend rate of $200 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) which
also applies to pre and on-site registration.
HOTEL CUT OFF DEADLINE: December 13, 2002
It is expected that the hotel will be SOLD OUT, so people should

TRAVEL AWARD GRANT DEADLINES:
There are four travel award grants for PAG-XI offered this year.
