Call for research articles and abstracts 

Introduction
The 4th Hangzhou International Symposium on Plant Pathology and
Biotechnology will be held at Hangzhou, a famous scenic and touring city
in southeastern China, from Nov. 5-9, 2000, which was co-sponsored by
the Chinese Plant Pathology Society (CPPS), the National Natural Science
Foundation of China (NNSFC) and Biotechnology Institute of Zhejiang
University (BIZU).

Topics of Sessions
Molecular mechanism of plant-pathogen interaction;
  Molecular basis of development and infection of plant pathogens;
  Resistant gene cloning and functions;
  Signal transduction involved in plant resistance;
  SAR and LAR;
  Biocontrol of plant diseases.

Registration
The symposium will be held at Shennong Hotel in the Huajiachi campus of
Zhejiang University. The registration fee is 100USD for the individuals
who register before July 30, 2000, and is half off for students. After
the date, the fee is added by 25% and no guaranty is available to the
publication of the papers. The accommodation is approximately 30USD per
day. 

Requirement of Papers
Research papers or abstracts and posters relevant to the session topics
are encouraged to submit. Please notice the deadline (July 30, 2000) for
the submission. The documents of both the full-length papers and
abstracts must be edited with a Microsoft Word for Windows 95, Windows
98 or Windows 3.X and printed on A4 glossy papers. The documents could
also be transferred by e-mail , a floppy diskette have to send to the
organizer. Please be sure to indicate the authors, their mail addresses
and e-mail. The poster board will be 30 x 40 inches (about 75cm x 95cm)
for each one. The title should be printed with letters at least 1 inch
(2.4 cm). The official invitation will be forwarded after receive your
confirming.

Special Supports

Limited financial support will be available, all or part of
accommodation fee for limited speakers might be exempted.
