Post-doctoral position available at NCSU
The NCSU-NSCORT in Gravitational Biology has a postdoctoral
position for a broadly trained plant physiologist to become part of a team
effort to understand the role of calcium in gravity perception,
transduction, and response. Research will focus on measurement of changes
in calcium after gravity stimulation in mutant and transgenic plants. We
are particularly interested in applicants with experience in cell
signaling, calcium measurement and localization. Expertise and interest
in other aspects of physiology, cell and molecular biology will be
advantageous, but prior experience in gravitational biology is not
required. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof.
Eric Davies, but will interact with the other post-doctorals and PIs in a
team-oriented, collaborative approach. Salary: $28,000 (minimum)
