Position Available: Researcher (senior research associate) position in
plant signal transduction available at North Carolina State University
Position description: To manage the research program of the director of a
major research training grant (NCSU NSCORT - NASA Specialized Center of
Research and Training). This will involve maintaining lab organization;
overseeing undergraduate and graduate student research; conducting
experiments to study the role of electrical signals and calcium on gene
expression in response to wounding and gravistimulation; assisting in
writing publications and grant proposals.
The successful applicant should satisfy the following criteria:
Ph.D. degree with at least 2 years postdoctoral experience; expertise in
plant cell and molecular biology; familiarity with imaging, the
cytoskeleton and/or plant electrophysiology. Special attention will be
paid to candidates who have been PI or co-PI on one or more research grants.
The salary range is from $32,000-$38,000 depending on experience.
