Postdoctoral opportunities to study molecular mechanisms of immune evasion
by microbial pathogens, with emphasis on Trypanosoma cruzi and Pneumocystis
pneumoniae. Projects include molecular analysis of virulence factors,
characterization of the immune response to vaccine candidates, molecular
modeling of membrane proteins involved in immune evasion, use of
combinatorial peptide and immunoglobulin libraries for the generation of
immunotherapeutic reagents, design of DNA vaccines and bacterial antigen
delivery systems as vaccine vehicles.

Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology or related fields.
Position requires microbiologic/immunologic background and experience in
molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry. Experience in cell culture,
PCR, electrophoresis, molecular biological and immunological techniques is
