	Amnicola and Hydrobia are genera of fresh water snails belonging to the 
family Hydrobiidae.  They are prosobranch (subclass) snails which are 
characterized by true gills and opercula which are generally lacking in 
pulmonate, or air- breathing, snails.  I hope this helps.
