Dear Colleagues,
Has been very difficult to convince the Brazilian authorities the
importance of Trypanosoma vivax mechanical transmission by needles.
We have reported several T. vivax outbreaks and usually these outbreaks
occured 30 or 60 days after foot and mouth disease vaccination. The
prevalences in these outbreaks are between 50% to 80%. The rancher use
ONE needle for thousand animals. The ranches in the Pantanal have 1000 to
200,000 heads of cattle.
How is made the vaccination in big ranches in your Country??
How is made the vaccination in Countries where occurs trypanosome
infections or other diseases transmitted mechanically??
Please help us!
Sincerely,
Roberto Aguilar M. S. Silva
