Does anyone know of any citations to parasites (helminths,
protozoa or ectoparasites) in free range brush turkeys
(Alectura lathami)a member of the interesting mound
building birds (Megapodiidae)of eastern Australia. I have a
reference to cerebrospinal infection with Baylisascaris
from a case in St Louis Zoo believed to be derived
from wild racoons,and published in JAVMA 1982! but we are
a bit short on racoons here.
