Hello,
I am working now in Plasmodium falciparum, but I am not interested in
any specific system. What I really want to do is try to see if can be
established a relationship between life cycles and virulence. A year or
so ago, apeared a paper in Science where virulence was associated with
vertical and horizontal transmission.
Eweld has made some very interesting points based on the parasite
transmission. Is well the idea is not original, I want to see the
evidence by myself.... or try to get it from a comparative study of
several life cycles. In which parasite do you work with? The book that
you suggested is very good! I already was working with it. I will send a
summary but also my own contribution to the list as soon I finished. Read you
