Fetal bovine serum is from the unborn fetus inside the cow, while Horse serum is from the adult horse. This plainly implies that FBS contains growth factors and less antibodies on the contrary the horse serum contains many antibodies and less growth factor, and is rather supportive for differentiation of cells which are able to differentiate.
