[Neuroscience] do the capillaries and veins in white matter have a preferred direction?

Hello,

My question is:
Do the capillaries and venules in human brain's white matter have a  
preferred direction like the arterioles seem to have
or are their directions evenly distributed? (and is this more or less  
the same for all white matter?)

Any information on this matter would be of great help to me.
