Hi!
We are trying to figure out how to make brain slices (in mice) where
connections between striatum and cortex are preserved? Any idea?
So far we tried coronal slices (refering to what is stated in most of
the literature) but for some reason we can't find any neurons in
striatum and cortex that are synaptically connected.
Can it be that other cutting planes work better? Might cutting in a
certain angle be necessary to obtain functional connections?
Any ideas are apreciated!

Thomas
