7th International Congress

Kraków, September 7-10,2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GENERAL INFORMATION

 Dear Neuroscientists,

The Polish Neuroscience Society has the pleasure to invite you to
participate to the 7th International Congress of the Polish Neuroscience
Society which will be held at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland,
from September 7 to 10, 2005.

The Polish Neuroscience Society organizes international congresses every
second year and they provide a forum for active neuroscientists from Poland
and other countries working on many aspects on the nervous system, on
different animal models, as well as on the human brain. The 7th
International Congress shall comprise plenary lectures, symposia and poster
sessions.

We are especially glad to host the 7th International Congress participants
at the Jagiellonian University, the oldest in Poland and one of the oldest
universities in the world. We are also fortunate to have the city of Kraków
as the venue for the Congress. As an historic centre and the cultural heart
of Poland, Kraków offers all the modern amenities of a popular tourist city,
as we hope all participants will be able to discover for themselves.

The conference will be held in the Third University Campus, recently built
and still under construction. The First Campus, located in old Krakow,
encloses the University's historic buildings, including Collegium Maius, the
oldest University building, where we will hold the Welcome Reception.

We hope that the Congress will provide an opportunity for all participants
not only to present and discuss their recent scientific data and exchange
information with others but also to visit magical places in Kraków.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The Scientific Programme Committee invites registered participants who wish
to present a poster and all invited speakers to submit abstracts online.
Please note that there will be not oral communications except plenary
lectures and invited symposia.

Online abstract submission will be avaliable April 4, 2005

Deadline for abstract submission is May 7, 2005

Notification of abstract acceptance and time of presentation will be
provided by e-mail.

Main guidelines for online abstract submission:

The whole abstract (i.e. title, author, affiliation and text) should not
exceed 1600 characters, including spaces. On-line form will automatically
count number of characters and will inform you. Do not use line breaks (i.e.
enter) at the end of the text - it takes 2 characters. Such a "white spaces"
are automatically wiped out before form submitting but are counted during
abstract typing.

The official language of the Congress is English - abstracts must be in
English.

Do not use national characters. Use only standard Roman alphabet, also in
authors names.

Do not use Greek characters and signs, spell them out (alpha, gamma, etc.).
Use of unusual fonts (such as Symbol) will result in weird characters in
your final text.

If you copy-paste the text into abstract from a word processor, strange
characters and signs may appear, especially if you used underlined, bold,
italic or special symbols in your original text. Simply edit your abstract
submission form and modify the text accordingly to eliminate all strange
characters and signs.

Poster size: (A0) 118 cm high and 84 cm wide.
