This is only to suggest that you eventually build an appropriately wide and
prominent "explanatory philosophical frame" around your eventually
up-to-date knowledge of the detailed difference in cell-chemistry between
'abruptly' and 'tenaciously' firing/responding neurons.
One step towards such a frame -- a step that amongst many others brought me
to "the evolutionary neuropsychological position of philanthropically
oriented overview on ourselves" that I now am in (whatever it is worth) --
was to read and contemplate (cross-correlate from and to) The Working Brain,
An Introduction To Neuropsychology", by Alexandr Romanovich Luria,
Penguin. - especially chapter 2.
