Happy 400th Birthday [1564] Galileo Galilei.
Which reminds me that I've been wanting to
clarify statements I made a few weeks back
with respect to my "need[ing] to go before
the 'inquisition'".
I was =not= referring to The Holy Office.
I was using the 'inquisition' in an ironic sense,
to draw an inverse-parallel between what has
been my experience at the hands of the 'church'
of 'science' the 'church' of 'government', the
'church' of 'business', and the 'church' of 'jour-
nalism', and Galileo's experience at the hands
of The Inquisition.
It's been an almost-perfectly-"inverted" [AoK,
Ap4] instance.
Where Galileo was threatened with loss-of-Life,
I've not been so threatened [well I have, but I'm
not talking about that here], but Life has 'just'
been, summarily, taken from me.
Where Galileo was threatened 'because' 'the
church' 'found' his non-Earth-centricism to be
'contrary to church teaching', I've been Threat-
ened with respect to all manner of grave con-
sequences that'd befall me if I didn't recant
my Science - by 'science', 'government',
'business', and 'journalism'.
Do you see the irony of the invertedness in-
herent?
'science' blames 'the church' for its treatment
of Galileo, yet 'science' has been doing the
same-stuff that 'the church' did to Galileo to
me, even though all I've been doing is Advanc-
ing Science.
It's =IMPORTANT= to get, and keep, all
that's inherent straight, because it wasn't
"The Church" that persecuted Galileo, and
it hasn't been "Science" that has persecuted
me.
In =both= instances, it was, and remains,
'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization,
left uncomprehended, that did all of the
Reprehensible stuff, inherent.

I'll make-it-Clear [again] that it was also 'blindly'-
automated TD E/I-minimization, left uncompre-
hended, that Crucified Jesus [not "the Jews", and
not "the Romans"], which is Much-more Ironic,
because, as I've discussed [and expect to discuss,
more, during my Lenten devotion, as I did last 'year'
[in another NG] Jesus was Teaching folks about the
Evil inherent in 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimiza-
tion, but folks just refused to Listen.
The Irony is as a 'food', in which Humanity has been
'awash' for the past ~2000 'years' - 'cause it's been
the same-stuff - the 'same' 'blindly'-automated
TD E/I-minimization, left uncomprehended, that's
been the wellspring of all of the intervening "man's
inhumanity to man" that's Ravaged Humanity.
All the bloodshed of all Wars, all the Suffering
inflicted by folks 'devaluing' the worths of others
who are unlike-self [which is, even now, rising-up,
again in Serbia, and which is Slaughtering folks
by the hundreds, in recent 'days', in Iraq], the
Slaughter of Innocents on 2001-09-11 - =all=
of it is what Jesus was Talking about.
And 'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization,
left uncomprehended, Crucified Him, 'because'
He Loved us.
'blindly'-automated TD E/I-minimization, left
uncomprehended, did the analogous thing to
Galileo, and is doing it to me.
In my case, the irony is Sorrowfully-'hilarious',
because I'm =just= doing-Science.
