Nobody forgot that part.
It was already noted that this "city of the jews" was a mistranslation by
the KJV translators. Here's how recent translators interpret that
Scripture:
(DRB) (The same had not consented to their counsel and doings) of
Arimathea, a city of Judea: who also himself looked for the kingdom of God.
(RSV) who had not consented to their purpose and deed, and he was looking
for the kingdom of God.
It's only morons who don't realize that no city in Judaea was ever referred
to in the Holy Bible as "a city of the jews". It's a preposterous
suggestion that the jews ever built any worthwhile cities at all, much less
in Judaea.
It's believed that it was Joseph of Arimathaea who had tin mines in Ireland,
brought Christ with him on at least one trip, and who brought Christianity
to the British Isles, something you would hardly expect of a jew
