Hi there...

I have some questions about the NYU device... and some answers and practical
help would be appreciated.....

I 'm having a bit of trouble with this
NYU impactor thing:

- getting my rats to survive

- getting the drop to be a good one (i.e. aligning the
rod in the exact position, getting the computer to
read a good drop, without any errors, etc.)

- doing the laminectomy in the short amount of time
stipulated by the guidelines/protocol (i.e. make the
drop withing 60 to 75 minutes of first anesthetic
application)

- getting the rat to go down after anesthesia in a
short time, so i have enough time left to do the
surgery and get rat in impactor.

- getting the rat all proped up in the darn
impatcor.... it still takes me too long (although the
other day i did it in the right time-frame!!!!)
However, need to have the drop be consistent and know
that it'll work every single time i decide to do one!

Those are some of the hurdes i'm having to overcome.

I am overcomming them, slowly but surely. But i'm
wondering if there's any tips or suggestions someone
can give me so that i can get this wole
process to go a bit faster ??? :)

Thanks in advance.....
