I recall saying that it wasn't as important as higher level algebra.
If you also recall, I mentioned that calculus should be taught in elementary
school.
I just don't think that tensors and partial differential equations are of a
great deal of importance for everyone.

Many things, as long as they don't involve math.

I agree that people without math, physics or engineering majors (or minors I
suppose) shouldn't be teaching math. I'm fairly certain you need a minor or
major in mathematics to teach it at the high school level in Canada. Of
course I'm pretty sure the same requirements apply to all disciplines.
As far as I know, you can't even major in education here.
