Dear Neuroscience Community,
A neuroscience-nonlinear dynamics crossfield European project has started on
May 1st 2002.
Exploiting the chaotic principles of neural activity, the project proposes
to develop a biologically motivated coding scheme of perceptual information
based on periodic behavior, as opposed to the common one based on
equilibria, which exploits chaotic behavior for representing the intrinsic
variability of perceptual stimuli and chaos synchronization for categorizing
them into distinct internal representations.
