Not a problem. There are many types of applications which use computer
languages. One of these types is classified as business applications, which
mainly uses COBOL to interface with a mainframe system to run reports and
generate simple but precise business reports, such as payroll. There are
also game applications(using C or C++), interface applications (such as
order forms which are divided between visbasic and C or C++), scientific
applications(which commonly use FORTRAN), and various and sundry other
applications too numerous to mention(such as email).
While C is the most common computer language used, COBOL is more commonly
used in business applications. Now, I can put it into an analogy if you
like, if you still don't understand.
