Shadow Dancer claimed that Marie Curie was solely responsible for
all use of X-rays.  That is probably what John Knight is referring to.

Shadow Dancer is more sexist than John Knight, which is an 
achievement of sorts.  He might be worse, though, because he
takes greater steps to get some figures and references, whereas
Shadow Dancer just makes up whatever conclusions she feels
happy with and presents them as fact.
