Is that 453 a combined score or the quantitative score?
For those who have not taken the GRE, a perfect score
is 1600. Many departments here at the University of Texas
at Austin require a minimum combined score of 1000.
Someone could get a quantitative score of
453 but as long as their verbal score was 550 or higher
they would make the cutoff. For those of you unfamiliar
with UT Austin, it is the largest university in the United
States with one of the top graduate schools in North America.
