"New" colours possible?

I don't think so. By nature, man is able to percieve colours because certain
parts of the eye are sensitive to certain frequencies in the EM spectrum. If
you expand or move that frame of sensitivity, your brain will get the same
impressions as before, only implicated by different frequencies. New colors
should require different signals entirely. I don't really *know* this, but
as the signals within the brain don't really have much to do with the
frequency that made them occur, I have the feeling a change in what triggers
perception wouldn't change it considerably, just like getting used to
different levels of brightness: White remains white, but a differnent amount
of light may be required to create its impression.

Even in this example, I'd say people will still hear "usual" sounds when
looking at something, and see "normal" colours when listening to music. But
to be sure we'd have to ask them. :)
