such. The rule of thumb is generally that such things are equally distributed
in isolated dendritic fields, but if the input to each synapse comes for
different neuron types, then the responses will differ. Also, you have to be
careful of the previous history of the synapse. A region that has been
previously active may be more or less suseptible to change than one that has
been recently quiecent.
