Dear Mr/Dr/Rev/Prof Matthew Alper,

Your recent book, "The God Part of the Brain,"
has been mentioned in an on-line forum of
Table Talk/ Science and Nature/ "Is religion genetic?"
at http://www.salon.com -- the on-line magazine Salon.

Since the religious impulse led me to dabble in AI
many years ago, I followed the link to your Web site
http://www.godpart.com/premise.html -- about the book.

The Web site was so well done and the book so promising,
that I included a link to your booksite from my own
http://www.geocities.com/mentifex/theology.html : AI & Theology.

The Web site invited people to send e-mail to you,
but I don't like firing up Outlook Express on my
Compaq Windows 98 machine, and my Amiga was turned off.
So I hope you don't mind my using Deja.com and the entire
Usenet as a way of sending you this carbon-copy e-mail,
inviting you and other discussants to brainstorm about
what is going to happen to theology if AI succeeds.

Sincerely,

Arthur T. Murray mentifex at scn.org author of Mind.Forth
