Some children with learning challenges can process short words composed
of three or less syllables yet cannot easily process four or five
syllable words. Which part of the human brain is believed to house
this function of processing multi-syllable words? For example, some
children can easily process words like a, able, and abundance yet
cannot easily process words like acropolis or accompaniment.
