Brain's short term number memory storage is where?

Which part of the human brain is believed to house the short term
number memory storage area?  For example, some children with numerical
learning challenges can deal well with one, two, or three digit numbers
but not four or more digit numbers.  For example, some children can add
digits like 1+10+100 = 111 but not longer digit spans like
1000+10000+100000 = 111000.
