Looking for a list of neurodegenerative diseases and their respective causative genes

No doubt you have already gone through the text literature,
for example Chapter 3, Genes and Behavior, in ER Kandel,
JH Schwartz, and TMJessell's "Principles of Neural Science",
4th Ed, McGrawHill, 2000.  And browsing recent issues of
"The Neuroscientist" shows a rather large number of reviews
dealing with genetics.  Both of these sources will give you a
large list of names on which you can do an author search.

But, considering that a very large percentage of the perhaps
100,000 genes in the human genome seem to be expressed
specifically in brain tissue, the list you seek would seek to be
virtually endless.  In any case, given the amount of attention on
this topic, it would be obsolete by the time you wrote it down!
