Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Fellowship
Position
A wonderful opportunity for new college graduates with a degree in
Psychology, Neuroscience or any of the physical sciences (bio, chem.,
physics) to work at NIH and gain clinical research experience. This is
a 1-2 year position in the fMRI group of the Clinical Brain Disorders
Branch, National Institute of Mental Health, which plans and conducts
basic research on the neural mechanisms of cognitive processing in
relation to the pathology of schizophrenia. The position is
particularly suitable for candidates with goals for higher education
(graduate or medical school). Candidates will be trained to work with
'state of the art' magnetic resonance imaging scanners and UNIX
workstations. No experience with computers necessary, but helpful.
