Thanks for your response, I think the "input/output interface"
part is also under progress. For example some labs are doing
neuroprosthesis research that enables the blind to connect to
visual devices and the handicapped to control the mouse
pointer on screen.
This means that it is quite possible in the (near?) future that
we can live without our biological body.
