Thus, I'll post my response to Ide Monahan here instead:
In the absence of any reasonable explanation of how such an affect
is possible and in the absence of any objective experiments by
people knowledgeable about how to devise objective experiments
and capable of doing so, there is no reason to believe that such
an effect exists.
