The day you understand more about Red Indians and other practicers of
magic not into having their photo taken
you might might understand more
than asking sense censored Westies
and in the style of being one yourself going on about the optic nerve
;-)
Apart from that (and apart from that if I wanted to know about such,
and, if popping sense enhancers and asking my systems would not tell
me enough, I'd ask a practicer of magic a little into magic photo
stuff), especially if a flash is used, I guess systems strain due to
a photo made for some might be too much if systems are still damaged
and repair of damaged ones is still running / new "baby cells" are not
netted out and adapted chemical processes alike their older "sisters"
yet.
(Also I would not entirely exclude that depending on the systems
damaged "energy fields" might be on differeent ranges, and if those
include shielding of too much disturbing axon activity, maybe magic
perceiving sensitivity could be high enough it makes a difference.)

>optic nerve or something else ????
I do not know, but my first possibly wrong guess would be that not.
