Actually, you were in sci.psychology.psychotherapy. And it is unfortunate
that this "weirdness" is magnified by the fact that nearly half the posts on
that ng are mental health professionals. It is the weirdest ng I have yet
to experience as well. Don't sweat it.

At what time in history have people not suffered?

People understand, Ken. People chose to deny. It is a frightfully
successful way to maintain one's sanity, of course at the expense of other
important aspects of life. But some things are too big to tackle, and any
attempt only results in self-perpetuating misery.

Your initial post to spp was not demented. It was interesting and
insightful and it inspired a conversation in my psych class (that total
immersion in violence theory) which did meet with assent by some of my
fellow classmates.

>i confess... my "crime" of disclosing the "Beast" that lives in

Ultimately, humans are beasts, hence savage animals. Our evolution consists
of endeavoring to contrive, by any means available, the appearance of
civility, depriving our senses of the beast within. But despite our best
efforts the beast will always exist, made manifest by our surreptitious
desires...because we are, and will always be, animals. There is no getting
around that fact, and it will never change.

Stuff? Did someone mention stuff?

Stick to your principles, your values but work on your behalf. Unless you
are willing to accept that a martyr role is a thankless one.

Yes, every day.....and for how many thousands of years now?

Nah.

i've heard he's out to overthrow the government.

Are you?

Well, that can be fun.

Commendable.

Don't be silly. Perhaps you are simply (and obviously) very sensitive to
the plights of others.

Never abandon yourself.
