Now I'm really confused.  Having been in Nebraska City a few times
(helped shingle my grandfather's roof there one day), I am certainly
familiar with Arbor Day, but would hesitate to clasify it as a
RELIGIOUS holiday.  Perhaps you are thinking of Druids, whose faith in
trees ("Trees"?) and ceremonies involving trees are reputed to have
been much deeper and stronger than one finds even in tree-scarce
Nebraska.
